Common Lands

The primary concern of the Jackson School Homeowners Association is the safety and enjoyment of the members. Please be courteous to others and use common sense when using our facilities or common lands.

The common area is a great asset for the association members. As Jackson School Homeowners we own these properties. They were permanently set aside as part of our PUD to enhance and benefit current and future residents of the community. The common lands provide an educational area for those interested in plants and wildlife. Our facilities provide enjoyable opportunities for socializing and recreation. Their preservation depends primarily upon the cooperation of the association and its members.

You are welcome to make suggestions for the improvement of our facilities and common lands, to donate time through serving on one of our Committees or to simply help maintain the area by removing litter. Our investment in these common areas can be enhanced, and maintenance costs kept at a reasonable level if certain guidelines are followed:

  •  Do not disturb plants and topsoil or start campfires in the forestlands.
  •  Restrain pets and clean up their messes.
  •  Do not discard any refuse onto common lands – i.e. lawn or yard clippings.
  •  Do not use any motor-driven vehicles on walkways or common lands.
  •  Confine bicycle riding to the pathways.
  •  Refrain from loud boisterous activity when using pathways or facilities at night.
  •  Cooperate with the lifeguards when using the recreational facilities
  •  Obey the posted rules.
  •  Homeowners are liable for the conduct of their children and guests in compliance with the rules. It is up to each of us to support and enforce them. Vandalism and abuse of our facilities and common lands lead to costly maintenance and repairs. Please be watchful of our properties, and report suspicious behavior or blatant disregard of the rules.
